Our client is an established national firm looking to recruit a junior planning lawyer to complement the team.

The team is already recognised for its expertise in both contentious and non-contentious matters offering clients a one-stop shop for planning law including:

  • acting for commercial property owners, investors and developers and house builders in planning applications, negotiating consents and appeals
  • major development projects, urban renewal, retail and leisure schemes
  • section 106 agreements and other related planning and infrastructure agreements, particularly on affordable housing and green travel plans
  • licensed premises, pub operators, restaurateurs in extensions of hours, changes of use, enforcement issues and other associated matters
  • preparation and advocacy at local planning inquiries and hearings
  • listed buildings and conservation areas
  • climate change and environmental issues
  • minerals and waste issues
  • compulsory purchase and compensation
  • enforcement issues, including breach of condition notices, enforcement notice appeals and stop notices, certificates of lawfulness
  • acting for third party objectors against proposed developments including judicial review and representing third parties at planning inquiries
  • acting in connection with High Court challenges under s288 or s289 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
  • submitting planning applications of all types and negotiating consents
  • day to day enquiries concerning all aspects of development work

Your current experience in planning law will have been at a high quality firm or local authority.
